The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to collaborate with students from the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) to create a series of four musical performances inspired by four pieces of artwork on display in the 2019 EAC Studio Exhibition. Each string quartet will perform in the EAC First Floor Gallery in front of the artwork that inspired the piece.

The reception will include a performance by Perception Project: Paul Lorenz, durations drawing with microphones, Todd Birdsong, found object percussion & strings, Dean Huges, percussion, Douglas Owens, woodwinds and Carl LaMark, digital sampling.
The performance will last 60 - 90 minutes followed by Q&A.

Join Art After Five Coordinator and celebrated artist Linda Kramer for a tour of an extensive collection of Asian art, which includes a fully restored Edo period Samurai outfit. The collection also includes numerous Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Maori, Oceanic and Native American antiquities.
